In softball, the Lancers lost to Augusta 9-5 on Monday. Rachel Kazemba allowed eight hits and seven runs (three earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one. Rachel, Gabi Radichel, and Lydia Kloke each had two hits, one of Rachel’s being a triple. Reagan Oman drove in two runs going 1-3 on the day. Next up is Whitehall at home on Thursday.

The Lancer boys’ baseball team defeated Augusta at Carson Park Monday afternoon 10-0 in five innings. Derek Wales pitched a 1-hitter while walking 1 and striking out 10. Wales and Cam Nelson each had two hits, while 7 different players had an RBI. They are now 8-0 and will take on Alma Center Lincoln on the road on Friday.

You are invited to an outdoor band, strings, and flute choir concert at ILC on Sunday, May 10 at 3:00-4:00 pm. If the weather is nice, we will will have the concert outdoors on the hillside by the the Commons, so feel free to bring lawn chairs or a blanket. In case of rainy weather, we’ll move the concert indoors to the gym. Feel free to invite family and friends, and pray for nice weather!

Don’t forget to pay for Banquet! Payment ($15 per person) can be given to the office, and is due no later than Friday (5/8). If you are bringing someone not from Immanuel you are expected to pay for their ticket.
