Tuesday, September 22nd is the last day to drop a high school elective this semester. See Prof. Schierenbeck if you are contemplating a drop.
Nepal Disaster Relief – The CLC Board of Missions and Kinship Committee approved a Disaster Relief Grant to assist our brothers and sisters in Christ of the Himalayan Church of the Lutheran Confession Nepal (HCLCN) following the severe flooding on August 28th. This support will help rebuild homes of fifteen HCLCN families and provide much needed ongoing disaster related humanitarian relief. Donations can be made to Kinship “Special Offerings (Relief Aid)” at http://lutheranmissions.org/kinshipor through your local congregation. Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ of HCLCN as they begin rebuilding homes and lives. And thank the Lord for the peace and comfort that only His love can provide in times such as these.
Morning Chapel Speaker – Pastor emeritus Walt Schaller is our guest speaker for chapel today. He was a pastor in a number of our CLC congregations and served for a time as “Missionary at Large for domestic Missions.” Thank you to Pastor Schaller for sharing the word of God with us.
Musical Rehearsal Schedule –
Did you lose something? You might just find it tomorrow!! – Thursday, lost and found items will be set out by the office. If you spot YOUR item you can claim it for .25 cents. Friday, everything is .25 cents and it’s FREE for all! Come check it out before your lost item finds a new home!
Leave it Better “Friends of the Forest” – Come join the Leave it Better team on Saturday, September 19th from 11:00-3:00 PM. The effort would involve dragging cut trees and branches to a pile to be hauled away later. Come and stay for the full time or come and help for a short time.
TVBS Pizza Info Session – Join Pastor Daub after school Wednesday, September 23rd for Costco pizza and a Traveling VBS info session in the Commons Lounge. Both high school and college students are welcome. Let Ellie Daub or Micha Maas know if you plan to stop by so we can be sure to have enough pizza.
