Why Immanuel?
Why would I choose Immanuel Lutheran High School for my child?
WHY? BECAUSE . . .
The Son of God died for us.
ILHS is here to help our youth to see ever more clearly the truth that Christ died for them.
The risen Christ sent his disciples to proclaim the Gospel of redemption .
ILHS is here to prepare our youth for a lifetime of sharing the message of salvation.
The exalted Christ has given His teachings to us in the form of the Holy Bible.
ILHS is here to instruct our youth in the teachings of Jesus Christ, so they can live useful lives in this world. “You were not redeemed with corruptible things , like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He was indeed foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” (1 Pet.1:18-21)
WHY? BECAUSE . . .
I want a school where my child is loved.
I want a school where my child is cared for. We cannot duplicate parental love. However, we do love the students who are placed in our care. This can be observed in the sacrifices made by faculty and staff, so that your child will have the best education for soul, mind, and body. At ILHS we have supervisors in the dormitory, food service personnel in the dining hall, faculty in the classrooms, coaches at sports venues, office personnel, and maintenance workers all of whom give loving care to the students where they live, work, and play.
I want a school where my child is spiritually cared for. I want a school where my child is prepared for life.
We will nourish your child with healthy food for their souls. We will provide your child with the security found in the love of God. We will share the Word, which will clothe your child with the righteousness of Christ.
I want a school that offers a complete education.
ILHS prepares students for the real world . . .
the world in which they will be struggling against evil in every phase of their lives. They will be prepared for home, for work, for play, for church, for citizenship, and for all that pertains to life and godliness.
I want a school that offers lasting friendships.
ILHS will provide a full education.
Along with the basic courses of a typical high school, we display the hand of God in every subject. Every student who makes an effort to be a friend will find a friend. Many former students will testify that the friendships formed at ILC last for a lifetime and, we dare say, into eternity.
I want a school that will nourish my child.
We will bring the Word of God to your child every day. This Word is the source of strength. We leave the rest to the Holy Spirit.
I want a school that will lead my child to heaven.
We will provide your child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. It is this Gospel that creates and sustains faith in Christ. It is by such a faith that your child shares in the glory which Christ has gained by His death and resurrection.

WHY? BECAUSE . . .
IT IS YOUR SCHOOL!
Immanuel Lutheran College was organized in 1959. It was born of need to provide a Christ-based education to many young people who had nowhere else to turn. Former affiliations had begun to depart from Biblical truths. Their education became tainted with error. Therefore, Immanuel Lutheran Church of Mankato, Minnesota established an educational institution with a high school, college, and seminary. It was given the name, “Immanuel Lutheran College.” In 1961 Immanuel Lutheran College became the property of the newly organized Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC).
In 1963 the CLC purchased a permanent campus for Immanuel Lutheran College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. On September 1 of that year the dedication service was held, and the school was officially opened on its new campus. Since then, by the grace of God, Immanuel Lutheran College has grown and prospered.
The majority of CLC pastors and received their education at Immanuel. Many of the present leaders of the CLC attended Immanuel. Many of the fathers and mothers, the grandfathers and grandmothers in the CLC attended Immanuel. In many ways, ILC has been the nurturing instrument of the CLC. However, this is only because the Holy Spirit is working through the Word that is proclaimed at YOUR SCHOOL.
