WORDS FROM OUR LORD FOR TODAY
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. – Romans 12:14-16 |

State Music Competition Results: Last Saturday, eight Immanuel students participated at the Wisconsin State Music Association’s STATE Solo and Ensemble Music Festival at the UWEC. They earned this trip by playing advanced music and getting a high score in the district festival in Fall Creek on April 6. Over 1,400 events were heard Saturday. The goal was to have a good performance in front of judges that specialized in their instrument/voice. Participants were also given ratings with low numbers being the higher score. From Immanuel, the Misc. Ensemble (Krystal Sydow, Olivia Thurow, Kari Wales, Emma Bailey, Josie Naumann, Sarah Fox), Flute and Vocal Solos by Josie Naumann, Cello solo by Aric Reim, the Vocal Quartet (Olivia T., Kari W., Sara F. and Adrie Falkenberg) received the score of “2”. Violin Solo-Kari Wales, Piano Solo-Olivia Thurow, Alto Saxophone Solo-Adrie Falkenberg received the score of “1”. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you for spending your Saturday with over 1,000 other musicians from Western Wisconsin!
