School News 10/28/24

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. Try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord, and do not participate in fruitless deeds of darkness. Instead, expose them. – Ephesians 5:8-11

Costume Contest: This year the Flash will be hosting a Costume Contest! On Thursday come to school dressed up in your best costume. Our judges will watch you wander the halls in all your cosplay glory and decide on a winner. (P.S. The winner gets a bunch of candy .) I think this is gonna be a lot of fun, but there are a few guidelines you have to follow:

  • Fill out the form you were emailed. If you don’t fill out the form, our judges won’t know to look for you and you won’t be in the running for candy. This form needs to be filled out by the end of the school day on October 30th.
  • Follow the dress code. If you don’t remember it, you can look at those fancy handbooks you got at the start of the year .
  • Be creative!! We are very excited to see all your great ideas!

CC Report: Our cross-country season came to an end today at the WIAA Sectional meet in Cadott. In spite of losing 3 runners to sickness and another to injury, our boys team managed an 8th place finish. Logan Thompson finished out his high school career with another great race, finishing just two places away from qualifying for the state meet. Out of our 9 runners competing today, two ran their best times of the season: Dulton Eberhardt and William Sydow. I want to thank our seniors for all the work they put into all year, making this such a great season: Logan Thompson, Caleb Eichstadt, Tyler Gallaher, Daniel Kloke, and Alek Daub. Their leadership made for a fun and positive experience for everyone. And THANK YOU to all the fans who came out to support our runners!
Complete results for both the boys and girls are a available at https://www.wiaawi.org/…/Boys-Cross-Country/Tournament under Division 3: Cadott.
