. . . This is the reason I have hope: By the mercies of the Lord we are not consumed, for his compassions do not fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. My soul says, “The Lord is my portion. Therefore, I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good to hope quietly for the salvation of the Lord. – Lamentations 3:21-26

CC Report: Our cross-country season came to an end today at the WIAA State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids, as did Micah’s career running for our team. He represented his school well today, as he has throughout his 4 years at Immanuel. He ran a smart race, coming out fast, saving himself a bit during the second mile, and finishing up strong in 28th place at 17:10.6 (45 seconds better than the same course last year). Almost the whole team came out to support him, in spite of the cold, and he even had his own well-dressed “bodyguards.” Complete results are available online at https://www.wiaawi.org/ Thanks to all our runners for a great season! Our team got better almost every single meet (as evidenced by the ever-better PRs), and as a team showed more improvement than any team I’ve ever coached! Even more important, they ALWAYS showed great sportsmanship, letting their light SHINE! |
