The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues. – Proverbs 17:27-28

Activities Committee Meeting in AC111 at 12:45 pm.
Chalk Days! We’d love to see the sidewalks all around campus filled with chalk art. There will be two buckets of chalk near the entrance of the Commons that you are welcome to use. (Please put them back when you’re done.) Chalk drawings should only be drawn where the rain can eventually wash them away. We are hoping to give out a prize to the class with the best drawing, but please do your own individual ones too and send pictures of them to Crossroads! Let us know if you have any questions! ~Kitara
Varsity Tournament tomorrow: We will compete against St. Croix Central, Colfax, and North in our pool tomorrow morning (beginning around 8:45- 2nd game of pool play) at the Altoona Middle School on court 4 with bracket play in the afternoon. Admission will be a free will donation in an effort to help raise funds for an Altoona student (featured in today’s Leader-Telegram) who has been impacted by cancer this school year. Doors H1 and H11 will be open. Full concessions will be available, and masks and distancing are encouraged. This is varsity’s final tournament of the season. Our last home game and Senior Night for our 7 exiting players is this coming Tuesday.
JV Volleyball Update: After losing the first set of the night to Cornell, the JV volleyball team won their next 8 sets (including three come-from-behind wins against a CRU team that they had lost to earlier in the season) and went 3-0 in match play to win 1st place at the New Auburn quad.
Soccer Season: The Lancers soccer team has been improving this season. Here’s a list of their game outcomes: First game on Sept. 2 — Home loss to Bl. River Falls 1-4 (a varsity team), 2nd game on Sept. 16 — Away tie to Chi Hi JV 1-1, Scrimmage on Sept. 23 — W 6-1 against AYSO U12-U18 team called the Gladiators (the other team had only 7 players and used three of our players at all times during the game). Mon 10/4 ILHS 1 – Baldwin/Woodville JV 0; Th. 10/7 ILHS 3 – Chi Hi JV 2
CC Meet Report: The cloudy conditions kept it from getting too hot, and our team showed their appreciation for the cooler conditions. In spite of having our top runner sit out, the team still managed a 3rd place finish out of 6 full teams. And we had 5 runners set new personal bests: Matt Radermacher, Caleb Eichstadt, Christian Koenig, Alex Radichel, and Daniel Kloke. Micah Fossum also earned a 5th place medal.
