Track & Field Report: Our Lord sent us fine weather Tuesday and our track team got to have our first meet at Eleva-Strum. Competing against a big field of 13 teams, our boys finished 8th and the girls 6th. The girls’ finish is quite impressive when you consider that they only have 6 members, with only 1 returning from last year! Some highlights include: Riley Naumann picked up another gold medal in the 100 hurdles; Audrey Arndt picked up two silvers in the 100M & 200m, along with a bronze in the long jump; and Laura Schaller earned a bronze in the 1600M. With 9 out of our 19 athletes being new, they set initial marks that they will now try to improve on throughout the season. From our returning athletes, new personal best marks were set by Riley (200M), Caleb Arndt (200M & Long Jump), Micah Fossum (1600M & 3200M), Paul Frank (Shot Put), Cainnin Lone (110M Hurdles), and Alex Radichel (1600M). Complete results are posted at https://www.pttiming.com/ Our next meet is quite a bit smaller, only 5 teams, at C-FC on Thursday. |
