Game Day Schedule today: Due to the home volleyball games, ILHS Lady Lancers versus Whitehall High School, the following afternoon schedule will apply:

• Early study hall at 3:00pm.
• In-dorm chapels.
• Early supper at 4:45pm.
• Off-campus free night, with students back in the dorms by 9:50pm.
• All sign-out and sign-in procedures apply.

 

Tour Choir Auditions Any Voice: Friday (9/8) 3-4pm. All auditions in Room 122. No appointment necessary. You can walk-in anytime during those hours. The audition takes about 10 minutes. You will be asked to: 1. Repeat musical phrases that are played for you. 2. Sing a hymn verse of your choice in your voice part (accompanied) 3. Sing your voice part from the provided audition piece (unaccompanied) 4. Sight read a basic vocal line (unaccompanied). The audition piece is John Rutter’s “What Sweeter Music” (Measures 1-50). Copies are on the credenza by the office. Audition music does not need to be memorized.

 

Newcomer’s Party this Friday night! The new activities committee has come up with a fun evening including Freshman Gladiator, campus-wide Capture the Flag, a bunch of yard games & food, and a movie, Rio. They’ve worked hard to get this ready for you so we’re hoping everyone comes. See you at 7:45pm!

Chapel Speaker – Pastor & Professor Emeritus David Lau is our guest speaker for chapel today and plans on sharing God’s word in chapel regularly throughout the year. He was a professor here for many years and a pastor in a number of our CLC congregations. He is the father of Prof. Joe Lau and the father-in-law of Jessica in the office. He and his wife have three grandchildren enrolled at Immanuel.

Cross-Country meet this Saturday: Fall Creek is hosting the races on the north side of their high school. The JV and Varsity will run together with the boys race at 10:00, followed by the girls at 10:45. No admission fee, and concessions will be available.

 

C Team Tournament this Saturday: McDonell is hosting at Chi Hi in the back gym (enter under the cardinal). First match begins at 9:00am. This is a round robin format, and ILHS plays rounds 1,2,4,5, and 7. Concessions are not expected to be available.

 

Varsity Tournament this Saturday: Elmwood/Plum City is hosting (please park at the south end of the building by the Wolf Den gym). The first match begins at 8:30am, and the entry fee is $4 for adults, $3 for students. The day begins with pool play where ILHS plays matches 1, 3, and 6. This is followed by single elimination bracket play. Concessions will be available and carry-ins are not allowed.
