Luke 23:32–34 (Listen)
32 Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. 33 And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. 34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”1 And they cast lots to divide his garments.

Hymn: TLH 180: Jesus, in Thy Dying Woes
1. Jesus, in Thy dying woes
Even while Thy life-blood flows,
Craving pardon for Thy foes:
Hear us, holy Jesus.
2. Savior, for our pardon sue
When our sins Thy pangs renew,
For we know not what we do:
Hear us, holy Jesus.
3. Oh, may we who mercy need
Be like Thee in heart and deed
When with wrong our spirits bleed:
Hear us, holy Jesus.
