Track & Field Report: We got some beautiful weather for our first meet of the season at Eleva-Strum. A short rain shower halfway through only served to give us a nice double rainbow as a backdrop for the later events, and a nice reminder of our God’s promises.
Picking up first place were Audrey Arndt (200M), Grace LeDuc (800M), Micah Fossum (3200M), and Titus Radichel (high jump). Both our coed relay teams also placed first: 4×200 team of Audrey, Sophia Carstensen, Vance Havemeier, and Titus; and the 4×400 team of Evalin Hammett, Tyler Gallaher, Jesse Cornish, and Grace. Second place finishers included Audrey (100 hurdles and long jump), Becky Noeldner (800M), & Micah (1600M), while Logan Thompson got our only 3rd place finish (3200M). For the first meet of the year, we had a surprising number of athletes set new personal bests: Evalin (200M), Lydia Lau (discus), Grace and Becky (800M), Levi Falkenberg (discus), Carter Martin (discus), and Titus Radichel (200M and high jump). Titus’ high jump of 6′-1″ also broke the school record, previously held by Sean Lillo from 2017. Complete results are available at https://pttiming.com/event. |
