School News 10/9/26

Forest Trails – Starting today we are asking students, staff and campus residents to stay off the campus forest trails while forest mulching operations will be occurring over the next week. The forest mulcher can fling dirt and wood so we do NOT WANT ANYONE within several hundred yards of the work zone. Signs and caution tape will be across the trails to help prevent anyone entering the work zone. 

Activities Committee – The Activities Committee will be meeting on Friday, October 9th at 12:30 in Prof. Roehl’s room. 

Flag Football Players and Fans – It should be another perfect afternoon this Friday for flag football! (Sunny and 71 degrees)Team 3 White Razorbacks vs Team 2 Red Commodores at 3:15 pm Team 1 Black Tide vs Team 4 Grey Gamecocks at 4:15 pm. There will be NO van ride leaving from campus this week. Please catch a ride with a friend or feel free to walk or bike over. I will be out of town this weekend, so the captains will be helping out with the reffing this Friday. Musical Rehearsal Schedule – 

Picture Retake Day – Picture retake day is scheduled for Friday, October 16th from 9:00-10:00 AM. If you did not have your picture taken on the first picture day you will not need to sign up. If you are retaking your picture the link to sign up for the retake is on the form that was emailed to your parents. Please make sure you are signed up for retakes if you wish to redo your picture.

Cross Country – Our cross-country team enjoyed the perfect weather at the beautiful Conley course in Thorp. Our boys team finished 3rd out of 6 teams, and we had one medalist (Simeon Schaller). In spite of the hilly terrain, 5 runners set new personal best times: Lydia Kloke, Simeon Schaller, Josh Pfeiffer, William Sydow, and Tom Carstensen. Girls Varsity at 10:00, Boys Varsity at 10:40, Girls JV at 11:20 and Boys JV at 12:00.
