Take a Walk Through the Solar System: The Sci 101 class set up a scale model of the solar system. The planet sizes and distances are all correctly proportioned at a 1:10 billion scale. The model stretches from the campus entrance down to the baseball field. It will remain up for a week or so.
Help Wanted: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Melrose will be needing some able bodied volunteers to help in assisting with moving their church pews. They will need to move them 3 times over a period in November as they have the ceiling in their church repaired from soot and mold, and then repainted. More details will be available as we get closer to November. If you are interested in helping out the elderly members of this congregation, please contact Pastor Chad Seybt at 307-214-7033; cmseybster@
This unsolicited feedback from a member from the Eau Claire community is a good reminder of how our students can let their lights shine and thus glorify God in even the most routine activities:
I had the pleasure of meeting three of your students by accident earlier this week in Dollar Tree on London Road. I watched them planning a surprise for fellow students and a special recognition for the seniors. The young men made certain they had the revenue to cover their idea as well as to include and recognize all that should be part of the fun and festivities. I marveled at how they worked together and how concerned that all be included.
The three young men represented themselves and their school in stellar manner. You should be so, so proud of each one of them. Their families should be so proud of them as well. The values and morals that Immanuel Lutheran has taught each of them was evident…congratulations on a job well done!
After watching the young men get ready to purchase their items, I offered to pay for the items. What polite and appreciative young men! They asked to shake my hand and thanked me profusely. I was in awe at how Christ-like these three young men were and the kind words extended to me.
THANK YOU for doing such an amazing job of teaching and training the future generations. I wished I would have gotten the three young men’s name so I could mention them in this email. I just wanted to do this random act of kindness to acknowledge their random act of kindness. I appreciate you reading this sharing.
