My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. – James 5:19-20

Afternoon Parking Request: Please leave the lower parking lot empty of cars after school so that baseball and softball can use the area for practice, since we are unable to get onto our fields. We’d hate to cause a dent or break a window, so please park in the UPPER LOT after school, though not in the “No Parking” areas or in the staff stalls. Thank you.

Softball Report: The Lady Lancers’ season opener last night went very well for the team, despite only having had indoor practices for a week! Although the game was on a peninsula on the Mississippi River, the first 5 innings were in the sun and the wind wasn’t terrible, so that helped alot! The Lancers won 9-5. Hannah Kazemba pitched the full game, facing 37 batters total, giving up 7 runs and 3 earned runs. She had just 2 walks and 10 strikeouts!Of note:

Katie Kloke with 3 at-bats – one single and one stolen base

Ava Williams with 2 at-bats – one double and one RBI

Ella Bernthal with 3 at-bats – two singles and one RBI

Kenzie Koenig with 2 at-bats – one single and one double, and two RBIs.

Cheyenne looked sharp in her debut as catcher, and several of the freshmen looked very good! Coach Sydow said, “Being our first time stepping on dirt, they did awesome . . . I’m very excited for what I saw and hope we can continue to build throughout the season after losing such a large part of our team from last year!”
