And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it. – Luke 9:23-24

Track & Field Report: This is the warmest it’s ever been for our first track meet, and we certainly enjoyed the nice weather! Competing against 11 teams at Eleva-Strum, both our boys and girls teams finished 6th.
Some highlights include: Audrey Arndt finished first in the 200M (new PR & school record) & long jump, and second in the 100 hurdles (new PR). Grace LeDuc also scored big, placing first in the 400M and second in the 800M. Caleb Arndt earned a 3rd place finish in the triple jump, Micah Fossum came in 3rd in the 1600M and 2nd in the 3200M. Jacob Lillo also placed second in the shot put with a new PR, Lydia Lau set a new PR in the 100M, and Tyler Gallaher PR’d in the 200M. New this season are coed relays, and our teams definitely showed their speed. Our 4x800M team, made up of Laura Schaller, Becky Noeldner, Paul Frank, & George Carstensen, finished second; and our 4×100 team, including Caleb & Audrey Arndt, Evalin Hammett, and Vance Havemeyer, came in first! Complete results are posted at https://pttiming.com/event.
We have one day off, then are at Independence on Thursday for the “Indee Relays.” This meet will be a change of pace for us, since ALL of the running events are run as relay races. |
Baseball vs Whitehall: We lost 7-3. We were ahead 1-0 after three innings. We out hit them and had just one error to their 4, but we gave up too many walks and didn’t get hits at key times. Five pitchers were used today because of our heavy week. Four are still eligible for tomorrow. Nobody had more than one hit. Bryce Sydow had a double. |
