You are invited to an outdoor band, strings, and flute choir concert at ILC on Sunday, May 10 at 3:00-4:00 pm. If the weather is nice, we will will have the concert outdoors on the hillside by the the Commons, so feel free to bring lawn chairs or a blanket. In case of rainy weather, we’ll move the concert indoors to the gym. Feel free to invite family and friends, and pray for nice weather!
Baseball Report – In baseball Tuesday, Derek Wales threw a gem against a very good Melrose-Mindoro team and got the 4-1 win. He pitched six innings, giving up four hits and one run, while striking out six. On offense, Cam Nelson went 4×4 with 2 RBI. Kayden Lillo had a big two out hit to bring in another run. Next up is a non-conference game against Bloomer at their place Thursday.
Softball Report – In softball the Lancer stayed in it until the end, but Melrose-Mindoro pulled away late in a 3-2 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at two until the bottom of the fifth inning. Rachel Kazemba pitched six innings giving up six hits, three runs (one earned), striking out two, and walking three. PJ Mielke led the Lancers with two runs batted in, one of them on a double. Anna Eichstadt and Mykah Mueller also had hits. Next up for the Lancers is Alma/Pepin on Thursday in Pepin.
Track Report – Our track team had clear weather again for our 5-team meet in Mondovi. In the team scores, our girls placed 3rd and our boys 5th, but we once again had a huge number of personal records set: 24 out of 33 athletes. Winning first place today were Grace LeDuc (800M), Jenna Ude (1600M), Michael Lang (high jump) and Margaret Schaller (high jump). Taking second in their events were Gwyneth Gurgel (800M), Evalin Hammett (long jump), William Sydow (1600M), and both our boys relay teams: 4×100 (Reis Levandoski, Tanner Havemeier, Ian Levandoski, & Michael), and the 4×400 (Thomas Carstensen, Sam Pfeiffer, William, & Dulton Eberhardt. Taking thirds today were Miley Eberhardt (shot put), Evalin (200M), Becky Noeldner (800M), Maggie Seibel (1600M), Tanner (triple jump), Josh Pfeiffer (3200M), and our girls 4×100 team (Evalin, Alex Noeldner, Becky, & Gwyneth). Setting multiple personal records today were Margaret Schaller (100 hurdles & high jump), Lizzie Stearns (discus, shot put, & 400M), Ayden Anderson (100M & 300 hurdles), Thomas Carstensen (400M, high jump. & triple jump), Michael Lang (100M & high jump), Reis Levandoski (300 hurdles & high jump), and Josh Noeldner (200M & long jump).
