It’s Field Day!!!

Puzzle Me This Photo Contest: Quite a number of entries have come in, but when the deadline of May 1 was set for this round of the Photo Contest, consideration of Field Day was not made. The decision was made to extend the deadline to tomorrow morning to allow entries from events today since that fits our theme of representing the Immanuel family.

Lost & Found in Prof. Weis’ office: Please stop by and reclaim your lost items. The cost is $0.25/item today. Next week prices increase each day!

Listen to the Story: The spring piano and organ recital will be presented this Sunday, May 14th at 3:00pm in the gym. All are welcome to attend.

The Catered Meal on Monday provided by the Berea congregation from Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota will be Jimmy Johns sandwiches, chips, fresh fruit, and a cookie. The choices of sandwiches are Big John, TurkeyTom, & Vito (look them up online if you wish to know more). There will also be “unwiches” if you need gluten free (let Mel know). Please be sure you have indicated your intent to eat here via the survey that was sent out this past week.

Finals Schedules are available on the credenza outside the office. Remember to get off work for choir rehearsal if you haven’t already!!

Track & Field Report: Our track team finished out the regular season with the Dairyland Conference Meet, hosted by Melrose-Mindoro HS. Our boys team ended up 6th in the conference, while our girls came in 4th overall. The girls’ finish is impressive when you consider that we only have 7 girls on the team! The first and second place finishers at this meet are awarded First and Second Team All-Conference, respectively. Making First Team were Audrey Arndt (100M & 200M), and Jacob Lillo (shot put), while the following made Second Team: Grace LeDuc (400M), Audrey (long jump), and our boys 4×200 relay team – Caleb Arndt, Andy Plath, Titus Radichel, and Vance Havemeier. Congratulations to all our All-Conference Athletes!

Being our last regular meet, we still had a number of Lancers set new personal records: Sophia Carstensen (long jump), Evalin Hammett (200M), Grace (400M), and both our boys relay teams: the 4×200 (mentioned above) and the 4×100 (Tyler Gallaher, Levi Falkenberg, Sam Pfeiffer, & Paul Frank). Our shot putters gave a particularly stellar performance, with all 4 setting new PR’s: Lydia Lau, Levi, Paul, and Jacob! Jacob’s mark not only won first in the conference, it also beat his previous best by over 2.5 feet, and set a new school record!

Complete results are available at http://www.accuracetiming.com/info under “Dairyland Conference Meet.”

This marks the end of our regular season. Our students now have some time to focus on finals and graduation before the WIAA Regional Meet at Colfax on May 22.
