School News 5/15/26

Field Day Starts After Chapel Today! There will be a cookout for lunch, but town students (high school and college), faculty, and staff will need to purchase a ticket to eat lunch in the cafeteria.
Baseball plays C-FC tonight at 5 at Carson Park.
Finals are NEXT WEEK…! Take a look at the schedule so you can plan ahead for studying. Printed copies are available under the bulletin board closest to the office.
Here are some events happening in the next week and a half:
- May 15th – Field Day, starting after chapel
- May 17th – 1:00 PM Faculty Tea for the Graduates; 3:00 PM Piano and Organ Recital
- May 19th-22nd – Finals (find the attendance rules here)
- May 22nd – Class Day @ 2:30 PM; Spring Concert at Messiah @ 7 PM
- May 23rd – Graduation Service @ 10:00 AM
Our track team ended their regular season at the Dairyland Conference meet in Augusta. Out of the 11 teams in our conference, our girls came in 6th and our boys came in 7th. Our boys 4×100 relay team came in first and so earned first team all-conference awards: Reis Levandoski, Tanner Havemeier, Ian Levandoski, & Michael Lang. Coming in second and making second team all-conference were our girls 4×100 team (Evalin Hammett, Alex Noeldner, Becky Noeldner, & Gwyneth Gurgel), our boys 4×800 team (Josh Pfeiffer, Sam Pfeiffer, William Sydow, & Dulton Eberhardt), and Gwyneth in the 400M.
Congratulations to our All-Conference Athletes!
Every one of our relay teams set new personal records (PRs): the 3 mentioned above and the girls 4×800 (Margaret Schaller, Becky, Gwyneth, & Grace LeDuc). Also setting new PRs were Ashtyn Barthels (shot put), Evalin Hammett (long jump), Alex (300 hurdles), Margaret (100 hurdles & high jump), Jenna Ude (1600M), Aurora Willitz (1600M), Ayden Anderson (110 & 300 hurdles), Thomas Carstensen (400M), Reis Levandoski (110 hurdles), Josh Noeldner (200 & 400M), Joel Pfeiffer (3200M), Sam (800M), and William (3200M).
We now have a week off for finals, and then we start our post-season with the WIAA Regional Meet at Mondovi on May 26.

Softball Report – Rachel Kazemba surrendered seven hits and seven runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking none in a 7-1 softball loss to Blair-Taylor. Gabi Radichel, Kenzie Koenig, and Kazemba each collected one hit. Reagan Oman led the Lancers with one run batted in. Their next game is against AC Lincoln on Monday at Gelein starting at 5:00.
Baseball Report – On a rainy evening the baseball team lost to Blair-Taylor 7-1. Derek Wales surrendered seven hits and seven runs (four earned) over five innings pitched. He also struck out 10 and walked two. Cam Nelson was 2 for 3 at the plate and Derek scored the only run. The team has another game today against C-FC at 5:00 at Carson Park.

Seniors, come pick up your Senior Gift from Banquet at the office!
A catered meal is being sponsored/funded again this year by a member of Berea Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights. The meal is FREE for everyone – all high school, college, and seminary students, as well as all faculty and staff. The meal will be from Noodles & Co, and will be served on Tuesday, May 19, in the dining hall. Plan accordingly.
