Track & Field Report: Our Lancers were challenged by the rain and wet conditions in Melrose-Mindoro, but managed some impressive results. The boys finished 2nd out of 3 teams, while our girls team pulled out another win.

Some highlights include first place finishes by Lydia Kettner (400M & long jump*), Riley Naumann (100 hurdles & 200M), Sheridan Noeldner (triple jump), Suraya Williams (100M), Micah Fossum (1600M & 3200M), Cainnin Lone (110 hurdles*), Luke Strike (400M*) and our girls 4×100 team* (Riley, Suraya, Sheridan, & Lydia).

It was good to see almost half of our athletes set new personal bests in spite of the bad conditions. In addition to the ones (*) above, that includes George Carstensen (200M), Paul Frank (200M & shot put), and Mason Garvens (shot put).

Complete results are posted at https://crm.pttiming.com/uploads/projects/397/MM_Results.pdf.

This was the last meet of the season for some of our athletes, since they will be leaving after graduation this weekend. We thank particularly our seniors for their leadership and dedication this year and throughout their time at Immanuel: Lydia Kettner, Marisa Konshak, Suraya Williams, Mason Garvens, and Ben Haslett. (Lydia plans to stay to compete the rest of the season). God Bless your future endeavors!

JV Baseball Report: The JV boys’ baseball team turned in a great performance in their final game of the year spotting MelMin one run in the first inning but then outscoring the Mustangs by 8 and winning 10-3. The boys closed out one of the most successful JV seasons at Immanuel averaging close to double figures in runs and ending with a 6-4 record. Coach Wirth and I want to thank the players and parents for their support!
