8 I have set the LORD always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being1 rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.2
11 You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

23 “Oh that my words were written!
Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
24 Oh that with an iron pen and lead
they were engraved in the rock forever!
25 For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.1
26 And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in2 my flesh I shall see God,
27 whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
