Attention Softball Ladies: Are you ready to “hit the ball and touch ‘em all”? It’s just about time for Lancer Softball 2024 edition – and some new training equipment is in our future via a pre-season fundraising event. Players from previous years – we are counting on you! Players considering softball, or keeping stats, or doing media for the team – please also participate in our 2024 Fundraiser (see Hannah Kazemba or Cheyenne Wales for details). Sign up this weekend with Hannah (Seniors/sophomores) or Cheyenne (Juniors/freshmen). If you participate in the fundraising and decide not to participate in softball you will still get our Motto T-shirt (which will be designed by the team) for your efforts. The more, the merrier! Watch the bulletin on Monday and Tuesday for more information!
Last Day to Drop: Monday, Feb. 5 is the last day to drop a high school elective class for this semester. Please talk to Prof. Gullerud by Friday if you would like to drop a class. Any change will require your parent’s, the teacher’s, and Prof. Gullerud’s permission.
Bake Sale The Banquet Committee will be hosting a bake sale on Saturday during the games with Immanuel Mankato. Bring some extra cash!
Company’s Coming! Saturday we will be hosting Immanuel Mankato for some basketball and for some hang out time together. Supper will be shared at 4:30pm after the games – spaghetti w/garlic bread and salad. (Townies, you’ll need to buy a supper ticket if you plan to eat here for that meal.)

Happy 99th Birthday to Professor Emeritus Robert Dommer! Prof. Dommer was a founding professor at ILC in Mankato, and for many years in Eau Claire. He taught Church History, Religion, Music, Languages, was principal for many years, and was a decades-long Tour Choir director. When not serving ILC he built a house on Claymore Drive in Corydon Park near campus and became a region-renown piano tuner whom many famous stars hired, especially in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. In recent years Robert served Lutheran churches in Stoddard and Onalaska, WI. Happy birthday and God’s blessings from ILC!

Punxsutawney Phil, the renowned groundhog who’s been predicting when winter will end since 1887, says things are about to warm up.
“Glad tidings on this Groundhog Day. An early spring is on the way,” a proclamation was read out at Gobbler’s Knob, elating a crowd of thousands of people who had weathered dark and cold to see the famous rodent.
It all comes with a caveat. “On average, Phil has gotten it right 40% of the time over the past 10 years,” the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said last year.
