Sticky Note Art Show – Submissions continue to be accepted for the first ever Sticky Note Art Show. If you need ideas, post-its or other supplies, stop by the Art Room and see Mrs Gurgel. You may submit unlimited contributions. More post-its means more chances to win PRIZES!
Newcomers’ Party – Today at 7:45 PM will be the annual Newcomers’ Party. It’s always a fun time and a great way to get to know the new students! There will be games to start and then a bonfire starting around 10:15.
Sewing Sessions – the first session with Julie will be in the AC Library this Saturday starting at 3:30. All are welcome to stop in any time during those hours and see what it’s like, and if you like, make a small project. If you have any questions, contact Julie jdlaak@gmail.com or Jaqi.
Friends of the Forest –
- On Saturday AM, we will all gather where the green bus is typically parked by the Maintenance Building by Lower Parking Lot. We will organize into specific crews at that time.
- Student volunteers are advised to wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and gloves, which will be provided, to avoid contact with thorny branches, raspberry thorns, and any possible irritant plants such as nettle and poison ivy.
- Hearing protection will be provided.
- Safety glasses will be provided for anyone around the chipper or a chain saw.
- Bug spray will be provided if necessary, although bugs have been quite minimal in the forest this year.
- I will have coolers of ice water on site and keep them replenished.
- A person lined up to bring in a load of pizzas, soft drinks, and Gatorades at Noon on Saturday.
- If we have an AM crew on Sunday, I’ll provide them a lunch on Sunday as well.
XC Report 9/11 – The weather was quite a bit warmer for our second meet of the year at Stanley-Boyd HS. Our Boys edged out McDonell by one point to a 3rd place finish out of 8 complete teams, while our girls came in 4th. Medal winners today were Becky Noeldner (7th), Dulton Eberhardt (9th), and Derek Wales (10th). In spite of the warm weather and challenging course, four of our runners still set new personal best times: Seth Bernthal, Joel Pfeiffer, Reis Levandoski, and Levi Willitz.
Our athletes have one day to rest before our next meet at Fall Creek HS on Saturday morning.

Musical Announcements – IT’S HERE! IT’S NOW! Brush off your Brooklyn accent and channel your best inner 1920s gangster in the rather silly gangster musical, Bugsy Malone Jr. Full of slapstick physical comedy, jazz, ragtime, and the ridiculous, it’s sure to be a fun time! Audition forms and sign up sheets are on the credenza. Auditions will be held Monday from 3-4:30, then 4:30-6, and Tuesday from 3-4:30 in the AC. Sign up for one session, and we’ll try to keep it to about 15 people per session. If the sign up is full and it’s the only time you can come, of course come anyway. Have your form filled out and your song prepared! We will then be breaking into groups and practicing a short read through. Here’s the Audition Tips and Song Suggestions again if you need it. There will also be printed versions on the credenza. Can’t wait! – Mrs. Rosendahl, Christa Lentz, Audrey Arndt
