School News 10/15/21

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:15-18

Corn Maze! Cost for the outing is $3/person (normally $7 but the Activities Committee is covering the rest). You will need to pay Kaylee, Charis, Prof. Roehl, or the office by Friday morning to attend. If you drive/ride separately and do not pay in advance, you will need to pay the full $7 once you arrive!

Girls Basketball Sign Up is at the front desk in the AC. (Stop by the computer lab on your way and get an accurate height from the scale!)

Take a Walk Through the Solar System: The Sci 101 class set up a scale model of the solar system. The planet sizes and distances are all correctly proportioned at a 1:10 billion scale.  The model stretches from the campus entrance down to the baseball field.  It will remain up for a week or so.

CC Report ? Our runners rose to the challenge against our conference schools with a 3rd place finish in the Dairyland Conference, just a few points away from second place.  A great effort included 4 new PR’s (personal records) by Micah Fossum, Blake Wales, Christian Koenig, and Daniel Kloke (by a full minute!), and 2 others came within 4 seconds of their PR: Matt Radermacher and Alex Radichel. As the conference meet, the top 5 finishers from this race make the first team all-conference, while 6-10 make the second team.
Congratulations to our all-conference award winners: Andrew Lau (3rd), Micah Fossum (5th), and Laura Schaller (9th). Next up is the WIAA Sectional meet in Boyceville on Oct 23, which will determine who goes on to compete at the state meet.
