What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if people claim to have faith but have no deeds? Can such faith save them? . . . faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. – James 2:14, 17-18

Track & Field Report: Our track team ended our regular season exactly one month after our first meet with the Dairyland Conference Meet, hosted by Melrose-Mindoro HS. Our girls team ended up 4th in the conference, while our boys finished 9th overall.
The first and second place finishers at this meet are awarded First and Second Team All-Conference, respectively. Making First Team this year were Audrey Arndt (200M and 100 hurdles), and Grace LeDuc (400M), while our boys 4×800 relay team made Second Team – William Sydow, Josh Pfeiffer, Logan Thompson, and Micah Fossum. Congratulations to these All-Conference Athletes! We had a large number of 3rd place finishes, just missing out on making all-conference: Audrey (long jump), both our girls’ relay teams: the 4×100 (Evalin Hammett, Becky Noeldner, Sophia Carstensen, and Lydia Lau) and 4×800 (Becky, Leah Thompson, Laura Schaller, and Grace); Micah Fossum (1600M & 3200M), and Titus Radichel (high jump). We still had a number of Lancers set new personal records: Audrey (100 hurdles), Sophia (high jump), Evalin (200M & long jump), Grace (400M), Alex Noeldner (200M), Thomas Carstensen (high jump and 400M), Jesse Cornish (100M), Alek Daub (discus), Levi Falkenberg (shot put), Tyler Gallaher (long jump), Tanner Havemeier (triple jump), Ian Levandoski (100M), Sam Pfeiffer (110 hurdles), Logan Thompson (3200M). ALL our relay teams set new PRs as well: girls 4×100 and 4×800 (mentioned above), boys 4×200 (Tyler, Titus, Vance, & Jesse), and boys 4×800 (also above). Audrey managed to set new Dairyland Conference meet records in both the 200M and 100 hurdles, and her hurdles mark also broke the school record, previously set by Riley Naumann in 2022. Complete results are available at https://wi.milesplit.com/ This marks the end of our regular season. Our students now have some time to focus on finals and graduation before the WIAA Regional Meet at Colfax on May 20. |
