Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. – 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Track & Field Report: After all the cold weather this spring, it felt like summer came early for our meet in Mondovi; it was 45 degrees warmer than the last time we were there two weeks ago! With our seniors gone for their class trip our numbers were down, but the juniors stepped up to demonstrate their leadership skills. Out of the 5 teams there, our 11 boys and 5 girls put up some nice marks, placing 3rd and 2nd respectively.

Our top finishers today: first place – Audrey Arndt (100M, 200M* & Long jump) & Micah Fossum (3200M). Second place – Audrey (100 hurdles) & Sophia Carstensen (high jump). Third place – Sophia (100 hurdles), Laura Schaller (800M & 1600M), Caleb Arndt (200M & triple jump*), Micah (1600M), Jacob Lillo (shot put*), Luke Strike (400M), and our 4×100 relay team (Jesse Cornish, Paul Frank, Micah, & Caleb).

Along with those * above, other PR’s were set by Lydia Lau (shot put), George Carstensen (800M & triple jump), Levi Falkenberg (shot put), Paul Frank (100M & 200M) & Alex Radichel (800M & 1600M). Caleb set another school record, this time in the triple jump, beating the previous record set in 2013 by Grant Hulke. Complete results are posted at https://www.pttiming.com/event.php?mid=931&pt=results.

We’ve got one day of rest, then it’s our last regular-season meet: the Dairyland Conference meet on Thursday at Independence. There the top finishers in each event win all-conference awards, which will be presented that night.
