(Delayed) JV Baseball Report: This past Saturday the JV team played a double header against Memorial. Going into the final inning of the first game they were tied 11-11 when Memorial scored 2 to end the game 13-11. In the second game Immanuel was down 11-2 but had a great rally in the 6th inning and scored 7 runs. The final score of that game was 11-9. We’ve received word that Memorial’s JV coach told Dan Roehl (Memorial’s V coach) that our guys “had the best sportsmanship of any team he’s ever seen”. Way to play hard and shine your light, Lancers!

Varsity Baseball Report: In a real thrilling pitchers’ dual, Immanuel defeated Melrose-Mindoro 1-0 in 8 innings. I’m not sure if Ryan Zimmerman got a hit or it was ruled an error, but it brought in Paul Schierenbeck from 2nd base. To quote the Lost Boys in “Hook”, THAT WAS A GREAT GAME!!

Final Paychecks: In order to include all of your time sheets, we moved the pay date for student workers to May 27.  This will give us the needed time to total all of the sheets next Monday and submit them on Tuesday (5/25/21).  Direct deposits should be in your bank accounts on Thursday, May 27, and paper checks will be mailed out the day before that.
