Visitor’s Day Weekend is here! Please be welcoming and helpful to our guests.

Friday, 4:30pm – Varsity Baseball hosts their game at Carson Park; Varsity Softball hosts their game at Carson Park – Gelein field.

Friday, 7:00pm – The band concert begins in the gym. Please hold conversations in the Commons rather than the gym during the concert out of respect for the musicians who worked hard to prepare their pieces and the guests who want to enjoy the music.

Friday, 7:30pm – The curtain goes up on the first performance of The Crazy Cowgirls of Pemberley Ranch.

Saturday, 10:00am – JV Baseball plays a triangular in Mondovi.

Saturday, 7:00pm – Our Student Performances begin in the gym, followed by the second performance of Pemberley Ranch at 7:30pm.
*Please remember to park in designated spaces only, and not in the fire lane at the top of the hill behind the gym.*

Church bus/vans on Sunday: Because of the play performance on Saturday night, this weekend’s transportation to church will be provided on Sunday morning. Leave time is 8:30am.

Chapel Speaker – Pastor emeritus David Koenig is our guest speaker for chapel today. He was a pastor in a number of our CLC congregations, served on the Board of Missions, and as Foreign Missionary in Africa, India, and other places of contact. He has two grandchildren enrolled as students here.

Help Needed: God’s Kids Bible Camp is in serious need of a male director between the ages of 18 to early 20’s to manage day-to-day operations at camp. Messiah sponsors this camp each year to provide local children ages 7-11 a Christ-centered summer camp experience FREE of charge. The camp includes twice-daily Bible studies, swimming, boating, campfires, and more. God’s Kids Bible Camp is scheduled June 23rd to 26th. Those interested are asked to contact planning committee coordinator Anne Vaver (715-456-3418) or Pastor Caleb Schaller (715-577-6199).

Track & Field Report: After 3.5 meets getting cancelled, it was nice to get back on the track and race! At the Boyceville Invite yesterday our girls team finished 3rd and our boys team 7th out of 10 teams. All three of our boys’ relay teams did very well: the 4×100 (Tyler Gallaher, Sam Pfeiffer, Ian Levandoski, & Jesse Cornish) and 4×800 (William Sydow, Josh Pfeiffer, Logan Thompson, & Micah Fossum) teams both finished second and set new school records, while the 4×200 team (Tyler, Titus Radichel, Vance Havemeier, & Jesse) came in third.

Top individual finishers for the Lancers today – in first place, Audrey Arndt (100M, 200M, 100 hurdles, & long jump) and Micah Fossum (1600M &3200M),  Second place finishers: Grace LeDuc (400M), Becky Noeldner (800M), and Logan Thompson (3200M). Third place: Laura Schaller (3200M).

Once again, we had a LOT of athletes (15 out of 27) set new personal best marks: Audrey (100M & 100 hurdles), Grace (400M), Alex Noeldner (100M, 200M &100 hurdles), Becky Noeldner (100 hurdles, 800M, & long jump), Jesse (100M), Alek Daub (discus), Micah (1600M & 3200M), Tyler (100M & long jump), Tanner Havemeier (100M, 200M, & triple jump), Ian Levandoski (100M & high jump), Carter Martin (discus), Josh (3200M), Sam (110 hurdles), Titus (200M), and Logan (3200M & long jump). Jesse’s 100M time of 12.13 also set a new school record, previously set by Paul Frank just last season.
